July’s Paper Pumpkin kit had a nautical theme – seagulls, ships, messages in a bottle – how fun!

I chose to do more of an abstract type of alternative – I simply used one of the background types of stamps and some masking paper to create a swirl of color.
I stamped my sentiment on a notecard in Basic Grey. I then cut a circle out of some masking paper (I used the cut out from the Paper Pumpkin kit as a stencil). I placed the masking paper over the sentiment and then using Real Red, Gorgeous Grape, and Balmy Blue, I stamped a ring around that. I removed the masking paper and voila!
