The December 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit promised to be pun-tastic and let me tell you….that promise was fulfilled.
Here are the 3 cards made as is per the instructions – can’t go wrong with these:
I’d love to make all 3 designs the way planned- so cute – but when I saw the cut-out left by the panel on the ‘cherry’ card and the sentiment “You are cherry sweet” – I had to make one of my own design.
I used the white/granny apple green card base and stamped some of the background dots in Poppy Parade (I stamped off to give a muted color). I wrapped some of the linen thread around the center of the original’s panel and tied a bow. I stamped the cherry (but will smiley faces this time) and adhered to that circle using Dimensionals. I adhered the whole circle to the card front. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Granny Apple Green and cut closely around it. That went on with Mini Dimensionals.
The versatility of Paper Pumpkin kits is something I absolutely love – the projects are always gorgeous as designed and you can play with them and make the projects your own. Whether you follow the instructions to a tee, changes a few things here and there, or completely come up with your own design, it’s a creative process and isn’t that something we all need lately…
