Merry Snowflakes Card

Snowflakes and vellum give this card a special wintry feel

The Merry Snowflakes bundle caused a ‘flurry’ of excitement for me when I first saw – was that too bad of a pun?

This card has a lot of parts but comes together pretty easily.

You’ll need the following:

  • Shaded Spruce card base (4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″ on the long side
  • Shaded Spruce cardstock (3″ x 5 3/8″)
  • Designer Series Paper – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (I used a retired, ‘Tis the Season – love that one)
  • Vellum – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Snowy White Velvet paper
  • Basic White
  • Mini Ruffled Real Red Ribbon – 30″ length

I used the snowflake embossing piece from the dies to go along the top and bottom of the vellum. I used the snowflake 3D embossing folder from the Wintry set to emboss the Shade Spruce piece. I adhered the Shaded Spruce to the vellum and that combo on top of the DSP. I took the 30″ of ribbon and wrapped that around the whole layered piece three times. I adhered that to the card base.

I stamped my sentiment in Real Red and cut out with a die from the Painted Labels set (use this all the time!) and adhered that with Stampin’ Seal and Dimensionals to the right side of the card. I cut the snowflakes out of the velvety wonderful white sheets and glued them to the left of the card using the fine tip glue pen. All done!
