Merry & Bright Card

Here’s a simple card for Monday – it uses the new Merry & Bright bundle which is, just like this card says – fun!

The card base is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side). I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White using the largest die from the Deckled Rectangles set. I then used the 2nd and 4th largest dies from that set to create a Flirty Flamingo frame (I used a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of that cardstock).

I adhered the frame to the Basic White panel and glued that to the card front. I stamped my bulbs in Melon Mambo, Blueberry Bushel, and Crushed Curry inks. I cut those out using the coordinating dies. (This set comes with two dies for each shape so you can really crank ’em out!) I cut the ‘wire’ and bulb toppers out of a scrap of Shaded Spruce. Those toppers got glued to the bulbs. The bulbs went on the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and I wove the wire through the tops. The card got finished off with a few Iridescent Discs.
