Autumn is such a wonderful time of year – cooler weather, apple picking, the change in foliage. It’s wonderful.
The All About Autumn Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! should come with a “Leaves”-scented candle because it truly captures all of the greatness of fall. It’s such a great bundle that it’s not available to order – some of the elements (the DSP and Dots-they’re so gorgeous) aren’t available until October. So set the date in your calendar – this paper will help you create absolutely gorgeous cards.
I created this Thank You card on a base of Thick Very Vanilla (5 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side). I stamped 3 three leaves from the set on different color cardstock using the matching ink (Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, and Copper Clay) and cut them out using the coordinating dies.
I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla using Early Espresso ink and cut out using one of the awesome dies from the set – check out the bundle:
I adhered a 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece of that gorgeous All About Autumn to the smaller side of the card front. I then adhered a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the Oxidized Copper DSP to the inside of the card so that there was a pretty background for the leaves I then adhered to the card front.
I colored a 5 inch length of the Black and Vanilla Large Check ribbon with a Copper Clay Stampin’ Blend and adhered that to the back of the sentiment panel. I popped that up on the card front using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished this card off with a few Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots.
