Tidings of Christmas Suite

Gift tag made with some products from the Tidings of Christmas Suite (c) Stampin’ Up! 2016-2021

I know – it’s not even Memorial Day, why am I posting Christmas creations? Well, you can never be too prepared – and – the temperature here dropped quite a bit last night, so I may have gotten in the mood – haha!

This suite (available now) comes with the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set, the Christmas Trimmings die set, the 6″ x 6″ Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper, and Chevron Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen.

In the tag above and card below, I tried using some of the multitude of paper scraps that haunt my craft area (you know, the ones that you are definitely going to use someday and just kind of accumlate — well, I used some today.) I adhered scraps of Cherry Cobbler, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen on a piece of scrap Basic White. In the tag, I cut out a star from the Christmas Trimmings die set and in the card, I ran through one of the 3D embossing folders in the Wintry set.

To make the tag, cut two of the largest tag dies – 1 from Sahara Sand, 1 from Designer Series Paper. Cut the larger star out of the scraps and the detailed star part out of gold foil (I used adhesive sheets on the back of the foil to make adhering it to the larger star easier). I adhered the DSP tag slightly askew on top of the Sahara Sand tag; then the star on top of that with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used a piece of Chevron Weave ribbon for the tag and secured it with a piece of Linen Thread. I stamped “Season’s Greetings” on a scrap of Sahara Sand with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold powder.

To make the card, I used a piece of 4 1/4″ x 11″ Thick Basic White (scored at 5 1/2″). I adhered a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Designer Series Paper to the card base – I then ran a piece of adhered scraps (4″ x 2″) that I ran through the Pine embossing folder in the Wintry set and adhered that on top of the DSP. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a piece of Sahara Sand and punched out using the Everyday Label Punch (I spruced up with some Red Rhinestones and leaves from the Tidings & Trimmings set). A piece of the Evening Evergreen ribbon is adhered to the front, as well.
