Hello all! Today’s project is a simple one that really let’s Stampin’ Up! Cracker & Treat Box Dies do most of the work for you.
I used the Trucking Along stamp set for the sentiment and image. This is one of Stampin’ Up!’s new Online Exclusive products. It’s really quite adorable if you ask me. The stamp set consists of 2-Step stamps so those great image stamps are a breeze to fill in.
This stamp set is part of a bundle but the punch the has sold old – it will be restocked in October so hold tight. But just to let you know – the truck is super simple to fussy cut if you absolutely need this now (which honestly – – – – well, I won’t make choices for you).
To make this project, you’ll need the following supplies:
- Cardstock/Paper: One Horse Open Sleigh DSP (6” x 6”), Scrap of Basic White, Scrap of Basic Gray
- Ink: Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Pretty Peacock
- Basic Tools: Snips, Trimmer, Adhesives (Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals)
- Additional Tools/Supplies: Bakers Twine Essentials Pack, Adhesive Backed Snowflake Assortmant, Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends, Take Your Pick Tool, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Regular)
- Stamps/Dies: Trucking Along Stamp Set, Cracker & Treat Box Dies, Nested Essential Dies
To make this project, follow these steps:
- Using the large die from the Cracker & Treat Box die set, cut out a cracker box from the 6” x 6” sheet of DSP. Burnish horizontal score lines inward. Using liquid glue, adhere the box together. Using some lengths of white Baker’s Twine, tie off each side of the box. Of course, fill this little guys with some treats first.
- Stamp the truck outline image using Memento Ink onto a scrap of Basic White. Stamp the inside of the truck using Pretty Peacock ink (I stamped off once to give the truck a slightly older look). Stamp the wheels in Memento Ink. (I used Pretty Peacock blends to fill in some spots)
- Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic Gray. Cut out using the second smallest banner from the Nested Essentials dies.
- Glue the banner to the left of the cracker box. Adhere the truck more to the right using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Finish this project off with a few Adhesive Backed Snowflakes.
