Every year I toy with making all of my Christmas cards – but I have about 160 to send. One day…
Anyway, this card would definitely be a design I would consider – it’s so cute!!! I used the Trucking Along stamp set and the Scalloped Contour dies (among others).
To make this project, you’ll need the following supplies:
- Cardstock/Paper: Balmy Blue (4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”), Basic White (4” x 5 ¼”, scrap at least ¾” by 3 ½”)
- Ink: Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso, Balmy Blue
- Basic Tools: Snips, Trimmer, Adhesives (Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals)
- Additional Tools/Supplies: Festive Pearls, Banners Pick a Punch, Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker, Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, Blending Brushes, Take Your Pick Tool, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Regular)
- Stamps/Dies: Trucking Along Stamp Set, Scalloped Contour Dies
To make this project, follow these steps:
- Being by stamping and coloring your scene on the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White. I stamped my truck image first (Memento Ink) and colored it in using the fill-in image with Poppy Parade ink. I stamped off once. I then stamped the grass images in Shaded Spruce. I stamped the trees in Early Espresso, filled in the truck with Early Espresso marker, and the leaves with Shaded Spruce (stamped off once). I stamped the cloud outline and inside of the cloud with Balmy Blue (stamping off once for the inside).
- I used blending brushes to fill in the sky and ground with Balmy Blue and Shaded Spruce.
- I cut this scene out using the largest rectangle die from the Scalloped Contour dies set. I then used the 3rd smallest die to cut out the truck image.
- I ran the front of the card base through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. I then used the Balmy Blue ink pad to add color to some of the raised areas.
- I glued the larger scene onto the card front using liquid glue. I affixed the center cut-out with the truck image using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White and notched out either end using the Banners Pick a Punch. I affixed this below the truck image using Dimensionals.
- I finished the card off with a few red Festive Pearls.
