I fell in love with the Translucent Floral bundle when we used it during the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Creativity Now event.
And then guess what I did with it? I put it on my shelf and left it there – silly me! It’s really great – take a look:
I paired this bundle up with one of my favorite embossing folders from the Basics 3 D Embossing Folders trio:
That’s when using ‘my favorites’ stopped – haha! I decided to use colors I really I am not in love with – Pecan Pie and Wild Wheat. Nothing against these colors but I’m just not head-over-heels in love with them.
I embossed a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock after I took Pecan Pie and dragged it over the raised part of the folder. That’s how I got those lines embedded with color. I adhered that panel to my Thick Basic White card base.
I then used my blending brushes to lightly apply color to the stamps I used for my floral pieces. This is a great way to get enough – but not too much – color on your Distinktive Stamps so that their designs shine through. I cut the images out using the coordinating dies and affixed them to the card front. I stamped my sentiment on a scrap and notched out a banner on the end.
I may have to change my mind about Wild Wheat now…sigh!
Here are the products that I used:
