This a bright birthday tag we made at my Gift-Giving Stamp Camp – it’s layered and uses a window sheet to give it dimension.
The base of the tag is Granny Apple Green, the next layer is distressed Berry Burst White Center paper, and is topped off with a window sheet covered in strips of card stock from the Brights Family.

To make this project, you’ll need the following supplies:
- Cardstock/Paper: Granny Apply Green (7” x 1 15/16”), Window Sheet (1 7/8” x 6”), White Center Berry Burst Paper (1 ¾” x 5”), strips of varying width from the Brights Family (Flirty Flamingo, Azure Afternoon, Gorgeous Grape, Poppy Parade, and Melon Mambo); scrap of Basic Black
- Ink: None
- Basic Tools: Snips, Trimmer, Adhesives (Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals)
- Additional Tools/Supplies: Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch, Mini Stampin’ Up! Cut & Emboss Machine, Gold & Silver Trim Combo, Tinsel Gems
- Stamps/Dies: Alphabet A La Mode Dies
To make this project, follow these steps:
- Punch out the top of the tag using the tag punch. Fleck the tag using a Black Stampin’ Write Marker (see video for tip)
- Glue strips of card stock to the window sheet in the desired pattern. Set aside to dry and then trim any overhang
- Tear pieces off of the Berry Burst piece. This will expose bits of the white center. Adhere this piece to the tag.
- Adhere the window sheet to the tag front using Dimensionals (place the dimensionals behind the strips of card stock so they are hidden)
- Using a hole punch, punch two holes at the top of the tag and thread a 20-24” piece of silver ribbon through the holes. Tie a bow
- Cut out “H B 2 U” from Basic Black card stock using the Alphabet A La Mode dies. I used Adhesive sheets on the back so that placing them on the tag was a little easier.
- After adhering the letters/number to the front of the card, finish it off with a few Tinsel Gems
