Nests of Winter Happiness Card
Another card using the Nests of Winter Suite Collection.
Here are the measurments:
- Crumb Cake: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″; scrap 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
- Cherry Cobbler: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″; 4″ x 4″
- Basic White: 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″; 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside writing panel)
- Nests of Winter DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″
I call this technique the Reverse Spotlight. Have you made a card that has a black and white background and then you add color to a part of it – so it jumps out? This is sort of the reverse. I took a colorful DSP panel and added a black and white (or in this case, Early Espresso and white) image. Fun!
I used Deckled Circles for my focus image; the 7th and 8th dies from the center of the set. I added some linen thread and gems for something extra and that was that. Pretty easy but I really do love the look? How about you?
