Warm Welcome Birthday Card

Shaker cards really are fun, aren’t they? This poor card must have thought it was going to come undone with the amount of times I shook it back and forth – ha!

I am still using the Warm Welcome bundle – and this time, I chose the stack of gifts as my focal point.

My Bermuda Bay card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5 1/2″). I’ve added a layer of Coastal Cabana from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP Collection to this base (4″ x 5 1/4″). I took a piece of Pool Party (3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) and cut a square out of the center using the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I placed a piece of Basic White ( 3 1/4″ x 4″) under this opening to make sure my stamped image was placed correctly. I stamped the gifts in Memento (then colored in with blends), the sentiment in Bermuda Bay, and the dots in various colors.

I adhered a piece of window sheet (3 3/8″ x 4 1/8″) to the back of the Pool Party piece then applied foam strips around the square opening and along the edges. I adhered the Basic White imaged piece to the card front (center), placed down some Effervescent Elements (be careful, they roll), and then placed my Pool Party piece atop that.

I stamped ‘Yay’ on a scrap of Bermuda Bay, cropped with the banner die, cut out a ‘hanger’ from a scrap of Basic Black and adhered to the front using glue dots.

Too much fun, right!! Would you use the same colors – or switch to a different combination? Let me know in the comments.
