I haven’t made a tag in a while and when I was flipping through my Designer Series Paper stash (it’s really a leaning tower of “Oh My Goodness I Have TOO Much”), I saw the Simply Marbelous paper (available as a Sale-A-Bration item) and thought Ice Cream Birthday Tag!
I cut two tags (Basic White and Gorgeous Grape) using the Tailor Made Tags Dies and the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I used the largest of the ornately-topped dies. I stamped background splotches in Gorgeous Grape on the Basic White tag. I used one of the stamps from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.
I stamped and cut out an ice cream cone using Crumb Cake ink and paper (with Early Espresso hash marks) and the Ice Cream Cone Builder punch. I chose 3 colors of the Simply Marbelous paper and cut out ‘ice cream scoops’ using the punch. I then stamped ‘sprinkles’ in Basic Gray on the scoops.
I took a scrap of Coastal Cabana and stamped my sentiment in Versamark. I then covered that with White Embossing Powder (tapped off the excess) and heat set with the Heat Tool. I cut cropped using my snips.
To assemble the tag, I glued the white tag on top of the Gorgeous Grape tag a little askew. I used a piece of white baker’s twine to tie a knot around a length of Highland Heather ribbon that I wove through the tag’s hole.
I glued the ‘cone’ down on the tag and then added the ‘scoops’ of ice cream with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was added to the bottom with a piece of Adhesive Foam Strip.
I’ve added the links to my online store for all the products I used to make this tag.
