The bold colors and patterns of the In Symmetry Designer Series Paper just make me happy! The stamp set, punch, and ribbon included in Sweet Symmetry Bundle helped these cards come together pretty quickly.
For the basic design of the card, I used
- 4 1/4″ x 11″ Basic White Thick Cardstock (scored at 5 1/2″) for the base
- (1) 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ DSP and (1) 2 1/16″ x 5 3/8″ DSP (I used both sides of one design here)
- (1) 3″ x 5 3/8″ Night of Navy Cardstock
I punched out two sets of sprigs using the In Symmetry punch along one edge of the Night of Navy. You can see each card has a slightly different take – I used the scalloped edge thinlit from the Scalloped Contour dies on one piece of Night of Navy. On this card, I adhered the larger piece of DSP to the cardbase, then the Night of Navy to that along the right edge, and then the smaller piece of DSP along the right edge of that.
On the other card, I adhered the Night of Navy piece to the larger piece of DSP, then took a length of ribbon from the bundle and adhered that around the ‘seam’ between the DSP and the Night of Navy. I adhered that whole piece to the base and then the smaller piece of DSP to the right edge of the Night of Navy.
I stamped some flowers and leaves on some Basic White scraps (Calypso Coral and Just Jade) and fussy cut them out. I then stamped the sentiment on a 1 inch wide length of Basic White and used the Banner Pick a Punch to shape the ends.
I glued the leaves to the back of the flower, glued the sentiment down on the cardfront and placed the flower group on with Dimensionals. I love bling sometimes so 3 Night of Navy rhinestones from the Holiday Basic Rhinestones Jewels pack it was.
