Frightfully Fun Times Halloween Card

Halloween cards don’t have to be filled with bright colors and cute ghosts to make an impact. Sometimes, a simple color palette and gorgeous Designer Series Paper create all the drama you need!

For this card, I kept the colors classic with black silhouettes against a soft Timid Tiger sky. I got that awesome background by cutting one of the sheets of the Frightfully Fun DSP into a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel.

Here’s a quick video of me cutting the paper to give you a visual:

I then added a few bats flying across the sky. Suddenly you’ve got a card that feels straight out of a spooky autumn evening.

To finish it off, I wrapped a strip of black ribbon across the card and added a simple Happy Halloween sentiment with a few black embellishments. It’s proof that you don’t need a lot of supplies to create something with a big “wow” factor.

One of my favorite things about scene cards like this is that every layer adds a little more dimension. They’re fun to make and even more fun to give!

I’d love to hear from you!
