Silly Old Bear Easel Card

Today I’m sharing another sweet project featuring the adorable Silly Old Bear Suite Collection — and this one has a fun interactive twist!

This easel-style card combines soft earthy tones, woodland-inspired details, and the most charming little surprise element inside. From the moment I started layering the patterned paper and leaves together, this card felt like opening a page from a storybook

The front features a beautiful framed sentiment:
“Sometimes, when you go looking for happiness, happiness finds you.”

Paired with the whimsical map-style background, it creates such a peaceful and nostalgic feel.

But the real fun happens when the card opens and stands upright! The tiny honey pot and tree stump detail act as the stopper for the easel design — and honestly, it may be my favorite part of the entire project!!

Details I Love About This Card:
  • Easel fold design for an interactive display
  • Cozy earthy green and neutral color palette
  • Layered die-cut sentiment focal point
  • Storybook-inspired patterned paper
  • Adorable honey pot stopper detail
  • Tiny leaves that tie the whole design together

Interactive cards like this are always such a joy because they feel extra special for the person receiving them, while still being surprisingly simple to put together.

I also love how this fold allows the card to be displayed upright — perfect for a desk, shelf, or craft room display.

This suite continues to inspire so many cozy, heartfelt projects, and I can already tell it’s going to be one I reach for again and again.

Do you enjoy making easel cards, or do you usually stick with traditional folds?
