A Color Combo Worth Trying: Peaceful Pine, Timid Tiger & Secret Sea
Did you get my Color Combo email on Friday? If you did, welcome to the first edition of CardNMum’s Color Combo! If you didn’t, don’t worry — I’ve got you covered.
I’m kicking off this weekly feature with three Stampin’ Up! colors that make a fun and unexpected combination: Peaceful Pine, Timid Tiger, and Secret Sea.
The idea behind CardNMum’s Color Combo is simple: three colors, one little spark of inspiration. Each week, I’ll share a color combination to help you look at your supplies in a new way and inspire your next handmade card or paper crafting project.
This Week’s Color Combination
- Peaceful Pine — a deep, natural green that adds an earthy feel.
- Timid Tiger — a warm orange that brings a lively pop of color.
- Secret Sea — a rich blue that adds depth and balances the brighter orange.
Together, these colors create a combination that feels grounded but still has a little personality. And you know I love a color combination that gets me thinking about what else I could make with it!
Putting the Colors to Work

For this handmade card, I brought the colors together with layered greenery, contrasting die-cut details, a textured background, ribbon, and a simple sentiment.
I love how the orange stands out against the deeper green and blue. It’s a great reminder that sometimes the combinations we might not immediately reach for can turn into some of our favorite projects.
You could try this color combination on a thank-you card, a birthday card, an encouragement card, or even a scrapbook layout. The possibilities are yours to explore!
(And in case you are curious, these are products from an upcoming suite Notes of Collage – it will be available in November, so keep your eyes peeled)
