Season of Elegance “Tiled” Card

On Wednesday, I used a technique called the ‘tile’ technique. Today, I am almost literally making tiles out of a square of embossed Old Olive card stock. I took a 3” x 3” piece and ran it through the Painted Trees Embossing Folder. I then carefully cut this piece into 9 one-inch squares. I placed these on a square of Misty Moonlight. I wasn’t sure what size to use, so I started with a 4” square. I started placing the pieces down one side and arranged them as I liked. I trimmed the excess when I was done.

I placed this square on a Real Red panel (4” x 5 ¼”) and that went on top of a Pebbled Path card base (8 ½”x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side). I stamped and cut a tree out (with a matching star) and then ‘filled’ in the tree with a blending brush for a fuller color.

I stamped my sentiment last in the lower left corner of the Real Red panel.
