Joyful Gift Card Holder

I know – you are saying, “Jen, I thought this was a gift card holder?!” It is – take a peek inside:

This card has a fun little pop-up in it’s crease that has a spot to slip in one of Stampin’ Up!’s Classic Gift Card Envelopes:
I love the pop-up action and I love how this card uses a 4″ x 12″ piece of DSP. Often when I cut DSP for a card, I end up with little bits left over. Of course I save them because I think I’ll do something with them – one day I will – – – –
To make this project, you’ll need the following supplies:
- Cardstock/Paper: Cherry Cobbler (4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”; 4” x 4” scored at 1”, 2”, 3”), Basic White (4” x 5 ¼” and scrap), Shaded Spruce (scrap big enough for die), Joyful DSP (4” x 12” – this gets cut into 2 pieces of 4” x 5 ¼” and 2 piece of 4” x ¾”)
- Ink: Shaded Spruce; Cherry Cobbler
- Basic Tools: Snips, Trimmer, Adhesives (Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals)
- Additional Tools/Supplies: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Pearlized Enamel Effects
- Stamps/Dies: Classic Christmas Stamps and Dies
To make this project, follow these steps:
- Adhere 1 large piece of DSP to the card front.
- Fold the 4” x 4” piece of card stock so that it resembles an upside down ‘T’ – place the 2” score mark in the cutting area of your trimmer and cut about a 3” slit along that score line (from ½” to 3 ½”). Adhere the center of this folded piece together. You’ll then adhere it on the inside of your card on the 5 ¼” score line. This way it will fold flat. Your envelope will slip right in that little slit you cut.
- Adhere the other large DSP on the inside of the card. After stamping some leaves on the Basic White panel, adhere that to the inside of the card on the other side.
- Cut out Shaded Spruce and Basic White piece using dies and stamp sentiment. Adhere pieces together and affix to the card front using Dimensionals.
- Finish off with some Pearlized Enamel Effects on those berries!
