Here’s a quick and simple card to get us started this Monday after a long weekend (I know it was sure long for me…)
This is a basic sketch that you can change in multiple ways to suit your needs. I like this type of sketch -you can make it masculine, feminine, or neutral.
Here are the cardstock measurements you need:
- Basic White: (1) 4 1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5 1/2″); (1) 1 3/4″ x 4″; (3) 1 3/4″ x 1 1/2″
- Mint Macaron: (1) 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″; (1) 1 5/8″ x 1 3/8″
- Design-A-Daydream DSP: (1) 1 5/8″ x 3 7/8″; (2) 1 5/8″ x 1 3/8″
The other supplies needed are the Drybrush background stamp, the Very Best Occasions stamp set, blending brushes, clear block, adhesives, and a Shaded Spruce and Mint Macaron ink pad (I’ll put the links to the products below).
Stamp the background stamp in Mint Macaron on the large piece of Mint Macaron card stock. I usually ink these big stamps up, leave them face up, and press my cardstock onto them. You could also use the Stamparatus to help do this easily. Adhere that piece of Mint Macaron to your Basic White cardbase.
Adhere the large DSP strip to the large piece of Basic White and the two smaller pieces of DSP to the smaller Basic White pieces. The measurements are about 1/8″ smaller so the borders are tight. Adhere these as shown in the picture.
Using Mint Macaron ink and the blending brushes, shade the edges of the small Mint Macaron piece. Stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce. Adhere this piece to the last piece of Basic White and affix to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
