Charming Sentiments Birthday Card

This past weekend, I held a Stamp-A-Stack. We made ten cards; 2 each of 5 designs. Who doesn’t love walking away from an event with a good sized bundle of cards? One of the cards we made was this one:

What a fun and bright birthday wish!

If you have not noticed the Charming Sentiments bundle, take a peek. It has a bunch of different sentiments AND matching dies to cut them out with a nice border:

To make this project, you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Cardstock/Paper: Basic White Thick (4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5/12”), Basic Black (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”), Celebrate Everything DSP (4” x 5 ¼”), Scraps of coordinating card stock (here I used Poppy Parade, Polished Pink, Crushed Curry, and Basic White)
  • Inks: Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black
  • Basic Tools: Snips, Trimmer, Adhesives (Glue, Glue Dots), Clear Blocks
  • Additional Tools/Supplies: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Black Baker’s Twine
  • Stamps/Dies: Charming Sentiments Bundle

To make this project, follow these steps:

  • Take 3 strips of coordinating cardstock and adhere to the middle of the DSP panel as shown. The strips I used were ½” thick. I literally used scraps I had laying around so once adhered, I had to trim off the excess
  • Stamp desired sentiment in Memento Ink Tuxedo Black and cut out using coordinating die
  • Adhere DSP panel to Basic Black panel and then adhere that piece to the card front
  • Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the sentiment to the card front
  • Finish off by adhering a small Basic Black bow to the card front using a glue dot

I’ve included the links to the products I’ve used below – they’ll bring you straight to my online store. Please note that the Celebrate Everything DSP is a host-only product – reach out to me about how you can get your hands on that without going all out with hors d’oeuvres and hats!
