Hello Beautiful Card

Soft colors for a powerful message

As we go through April, I’m trying to highlight both items that are leaving us (ahem, go get ’em) and ones that are staying.

This card uses the Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper, Just Jade card stock, Misty Moonlight ink, and the Adhesive Backed Hexagon shapes that are all retiring (either on May 3rd or in June). The Hello Beautiful stamp set and Beautiful Shapes dies are staying.

I used a Balmy Blue card base (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ along the long side). I cut 3 pieces of the DSP to 1 1/2″ x 4″. I cut 3 pieces of Just Jade card stock to 1 5/8″ x 4 1/8″. I adhere the DSP to the Just Jade pieces and then even spaced them on the card front. I used liquid glue to do this to allow for wiggle room.

I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cut it out using one of the hexagons dies from the bundle. I then took the next smallest hexagon die and cut a border for this white piece out of Blushing Bride. I did this by positioning the smaller die inside the larger die. I cut some random pieces out using the smaller dies in the set (I used the 1 1/2″ x 4″ of DSP I had leftover).

I attached the sentiment piece and random geometric shapes to the card front as shown using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then sprinkled some of the hexagon shapes on the card front.

I’ve added links to the products used below – remember, while the stamps and dies will be available in the new catalog, they won’t have that nifty 10% bundle discount. Thank you for your support:
