As I mentioned in Monday’s post, I was the lucky recipient of one of the new stamp sets (Uniquely Artistic) from the upcoming annual catalog as part of my virtual OnTour experience- Stampin’ Up! takes care of its demonstrators for sure!
I made a quick little ‘hello’ note card using the retiring In Colors – this time, I made a larger card using some current In Colors and a Neutral. (I may have jumped into winter holiday colors with this one – maybe I want to skip summer this year – haha).
I used the background stamps and the outline stamps in some different ways. I knew I wanted to heat emboss this outline stamp. I stamped the image in Versamark on a piece of Evening Evergreen and covered it in white embossing powder. I heat set that and then fussy cut the image out. I also stamped twice on the card front itself – I did one outline in Evening Evergreen (the filler image was done in full strength Soft Succulent) and the other in full strength Soft Succulent (this one was filled with stamped off Soft Succulent).
I stamped a flower outline image in Memento Tuxedo Black and filled in with Merry Merlot. I fussy cut this image out.
The card base of Evening Evergreen is 4 1/4″ x 11″ – scored at 5 1/2″ along the long side. The first layer of Basic White is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″; the Merry Merlot layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″; and the second layer of Basic White is 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″. I adhered the embossed leaf image with multipurpose glue and the flower with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment (from Beauty of Friendship) in Evening Evergreen in the lower right corner. I added a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to finish the card off.
