Lovely & Beautiful Suite Collection Wedding Card

The new Lovely & Beautiful Suite Collection is a gorgeous set of stamps, dies, papers, and more that will help you celebrate everything from weddings to birthdays. Take a look:

The label dies are perfect for any crafting project and those golden ephemera pieces will help you make any piece of paper look that much better!

For this card, I chose to focus on the really pretty ribbon that is included:

It’s a lovely white and gold ribbon – really the picture doesn’t do it justice. For some reason, I got the idea to pull it apart – not sure why. But I love how the threads from this ribbon make the beautiful background below:

They aren’t just flat threads like you’d get from a spool of, let’s say, linen thread. They have a little wave to them. (Think braiding your hair when it’s wet and letting it dry, haha!)

I took those individual strands of ribbon and adhered them to the back of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White using adhesive tape. After mounting the panel to the card front (Basic White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side), I decorated the card.

I adhered a 2 1/4″ strip of the Lovely & Beautiful 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper to a 4″ wide piece of Old Olive cardstock and cut it out using a label die from the set. I stamped two leaf images onto Old Olive cardstock using Mossy Meadow ink and then fussy cut those out.

I placed the label panel onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals with the two leaf sprigs as shown. I stamped ‘To the Happy Couple’ on a golden ephemera label (let it dry because it’s vellum) and them popped that onto the card front using a rectangle of Adhesive Foam Sheet (so that the background was solid). I finished the card off with some Pearlized Faceted Circles from the suite.
