Merry & Bright Gift Tag

Last week I made 3 cards using the Merry Bold & Bright Suite Collection .

This week, I’m going to make ‘other’ paper crafts – I mean, it’s not just about cards.

I used the Deckled Circles dies and a 4″ x 8″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to make the tag base. I folded this piece in half, burnished well with my bone folder, and then using the 6th smallest die from the Deckled Circles set, I cut the circle out. In order to get the hinge effect, I moved folded edge of the cardstock to just inside the die so that it did not cut through.

I then used the 7th smallest die in the set to cut out a piece of Merry Bold and Bright DSP and Basic White (both cut at 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″). The white piece is for the inside of the tag, the DSP the outside.

I stamped “Merry” in Blueberry Bushel and “Christmas” in Granny Apple Green on scraps of Basic White. I then fussy cut these sentiments out. I stamped the bulb in Blueberry Bushel and cut that shape out using the coordinating die from the Merry & Bright set. I cut the bulb base out of a scrap of Shaded Spruce.

I attached the bulb and sentiments to the tag front using Dimensionals and finished this cute tag off with some of those super cool Iridescent Discs:

Do you make your own tags? Do you like the type that open (like this) or do you like the flat-type you can just adhere to the gift?

Here are the products that I used to make this card – it’s such a fun suite of products and those Deckled Circles dies are definitely going to be in heavy rotation!
