Loveliest Layers Card

I somehow overlooked the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks in the new mini catalog – and was super-delighted to find them as a choice for a Sale-A-Bration item as I squeezed one last order in. I also snuck in the Enjoy the Adventure 12″ x 12″ DSP – such great, bright colors and designs.
I combined these two products with some ink, blending brushes, embossing paste, a pallete knives and had some fun.
Stampin’ Up! introduced their embossing paste a few years back. It’s one of those really versatile products that I (admittingly) always forget to use. I took it out for this card, though, and glad I did.
I put some paste on my silicone craft sheet and added a drop of Evening Evergreen ink from my refill bottle. I mixed it up with one of the palette knives and applied to a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ vellum using the ‘dash’ mask from the Loveliest Layers masks. I set that aside to dry.
I cut a frame from a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Soft Succulent card stock using the large rectangular frame from the Fabulous Frames die set. Once the vellum piece was dry, I adhere the frame to that vellum using some Tear & Tape. I flipped the vellum over and applied Tear & Tape to the back of the frame. I then adhered that to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of DSP from the Enjoy the Adventure pack (I chose the green pattern of dashes to go along with the vellum piece). I trimmed around the frame and adhered to a card base of Basic White (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″).
This is a great base you could go in any direction with. I decided to use the rest of the masks in the set to create a flower. I used Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya, and Calypso Coral to make the flower. I then fussy cut that flower out and placed on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I thought it would be fun to cut them out and have them float over the card. Would you do that? Would you use different colors?
I did seem to use a lot of products on this one – here they are:
