June 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternative
June’s Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin kit is really sweet – take a look at the projects as designed:
After I got over my urge to visit the nearest farmer’s market, I got to work on an alternative. I used the card base for the ‘wagon’ card. I cut this card base in half (cut at 4 1/4″ along the long side – following the score line). I cropped the card front to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I cut the card back to 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.
I used Calypso Coral ink and stamped the strawberry stamp from the kit randomly on the pink square. I quickly covered those strawberry images in clear embossing powder and heat set. I then stamped some blueberries in Blackberry Bliss. I mounted this on a 3 3/4″ square piece of Calypso Coral cardstock with liquid glue.
I glued the cropped card front to a card base of Soft Succulent card stock (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ along the long side). I mounted the ‘strawberry’ square to the card front using Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White and cropped using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. Last, I affixed one of the cutouts from the kit (the strawberry/blueberry) using a Dimensional.
These cards are cute and can be gifted using the little canvas bag included in the kit.
