Best Butterfly Treat Box

Okay – I may be in love with the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper – it’s just so bright and fun! And apparently, I’ve been on a 3D kick lately. So, here’s another little goodie box.
It’s a simple little 2″ x 2″ box – simple, but the DSP make’s it look super fancy. And that butterfly with the vellum overlay doesn’t hurt things, either. Here’s the template I used (using and 8 1/2″ x 6″ sheet of card stock):

Score every 2 inches along the 8 1/2″ side then rotate and score every 2 inches on the 6″ side. Burnish those score lines well then cut as shown. Then fold the tabs shown down and score the remaining two at 1 inch – this will help the top of your box ‘close’ a little better. You can use glue or Tear & Tape to build the box. I cut my DSP a quarter inch shorter than the panel it was going on – so I needed four 1 3/4″ squares and two 1 3/4″ x 3/4″ pieces. I punched out a piece of DSP using the Label Me Lovely punch for the closure.
I used DSP and vellum for my butterfly – I thought it came out cute and I didn’t have to drive myself crazy stamping and lining dies up – easy peasy – make that DSP work for you! And I love his little antennae. I stamped my sentiment on Basic White and just fussy cut – Mini Dimensionals were used to adhere these pieces.
