Little Treats Halloween Box

When Stampin’ Up’s new August-December Mini Catalog came out, the first thing I looked for was treat packaging – I love giving little gifts to my son’s classmates, teachers, friends at work – the list goes on and on….

Stampin’ Up always has great products to whip up quick treat holders – and this catalog did not disappoint.

Today, I’m going to use the Little Treats bundle to make an adorable Halloween treat holder – it measures 1 7/8″ x 3 13/16″ – perfect for a small Peppermint Paddy or a few individual Kit Kat bars. I’ve seen this style of box for a while now but have always been hesitant to make one – not that I shy away from a challenge – it’s just a lot of scoring, cutting, etc.

Well, this die set makes it easy peasy. One pass through the Stampin’ Up Cut & Emboss Machine takes most of the work out of the equation – then you could spend your time doing the fun stuff – decorating! And the coordinating stamp set comes with options to make Christmas treat holders, favors for a party (including a wedding), and my favorite – ‘just because’ – can’t we all use some cheering up lately?

See my instructions at the link below for the pictured Halloween treat holder – but you could really go in any direction with this set. You could use Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the whole box – I used some to jazz it up. And the mesh ribbon really has a great spider web effect, doesn’t it? This set comes with a die for a present (box with a box on top) – I decided it looked like a tombstone- what do you think?
