Hello Friend Card Tutorial using the Cute As a Bug Collection

There’s something so refreshing about a card that feels like a little piece of nature—and this “Hello Friend” design does just that! With soft textures, layered patterns, and sweet berry details, this card is perfect for sending a cheerful note to someone special.

Here are the Card Design Details

This card features a beautiful combination of patterned paper and layered elements that create both depth and interest.

Background Layer: A 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Designer Series paper from the Cute as a Bug 12″ x 12″ pack. I love this soft, speckled pattern gives a subtle texture without overpowering the design.

Striped Panels: Three vertical panels (1 1/4″ x 3 3/8″) of berry-themed from the designer series paper pack add a playful and fresh feel.

Sentiment Focal Point: The circular die-cut made with the Stylish Shapes dies creates a clean space for the “Hello Friend” greeting, stamped in Blackberry Bliss (one of my faves!!)

Embellishments: A delicate floral die cut frames the sentiment, tying in perfectly with the berry imagery. And don’t forget those two little banners (both are 3/4″ – one is 1″ long the other is round 2″ long)

How would you switch it up? Different card base color? Difference patterned paper? Let me know in the comments
