Words of Beauty Brights Card

Sometimes the best cards are the ones you send “just because” – am I right?

Stampin’ Up! handmade card featuring layered die-cut “just because” sentiment in bright cardstock on a striped background, perfect for bold and colorful cardmaking inspiration.

Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful card that is perfect for lifting someone’s spirits or letting them know you’re thinking of them. I absolutely love how bold color combinations can completely transform a simple design!

For this card, I focused on layering and color to really make the sentiment stand out. The “just because” greeting is die-cut and layered using multiple bright cardstock colors, creating a fun shadow effect that adds dimension and interest.

The background features a simple striped pattern, which keeps the design clean while still adding texture. This allows the sentiment to remain the star of the card without overwhelming the overall look.

Do you know what I love about this design?

  • It’s beginner-friendly but looks impressive
  • You can easily switch up the colors for any occasion
  • The layered sentiment adds depth without extra bulk

This card is a great reminder that you don’t need a specific occasion to send happy mail. A simple “just because” can truly make someone’s day 💌

If you’re looking for a quick and easy project, this is a perfect one to try with supplies you likely already have on hand!

I’d love to hear from you—do you prefer bold, bright colors or softer, more neutral tones for your cards?
