November 2025 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Gift Card Holder

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful and you got to spend it together with those you love! I’m finishing out the week with my Paper Pumpkin alternatives with a fun little gift card.

I haven’t made this type of gift card in a while – I first saw it made by Dawn Griffith. It’s a great way to use your DSP.

This card base starts off with a 5 1/2″ x 12″ piece of DSP. I used the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper.

Score that paper at 4″ and 8″. Fold the right corner down to just inside the 8″ score mark. Glue the flap down. Trim the edge of this panel so that the card closes nicely. Fold the right panel over and adhere the edges down. You now have a nice pocket for gift cards, money, or tags.

For my sentiment panel, I matted a piece of 3 1/2″ x 5″ Basic White onto a mat of Real Red (3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″). I stamped and brushed some red ink along the sides before I adhered the white panel down.

I heat-embossed the “A gift for you” image on a scrap of Garden Green paper and fussy cut. I notched out two banners from a piece of Real Red and Petal Pink.

Give it a try – it’s super-easy!

Here are the products that I used:
