Cute Winter Hat Tag

Here is a tag that was probably the easiest to make during my Tag-a-palooza class. It uses the Everyday Arches dies, a corner rounder, and a ‘splat’ from the new Cake Day dies. I used the Bright Collection as my color palette and we made 5 different colored tags (Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, and Flirty Flamingo).

Here are the measurements for the tag:

  • Cardstock for tag: 3″ x 6″
  • Designer Series Paper: 1″ x 3 1/2″, scrap for ‘splat’

After scoring the cardstock at 3″ and burnishing the score line, cut the tag using the appropriate-sized arch die. In order to make it a tag, keep the die just over the score line so that the piece remains one.

After rounding the corners on the 1″ x 3 1/2″ piece of DSP, adhere to the front of the tag. Adhere the ‘splat’ to the top of the ‘hat’ using a Dimensional. Tie a length of twine around the Dimensional and then tie another knot. Easy!!

See the ‘splat’ or pom-pom in the lower right corner?

Here are the products that I used to make this tag:
