Traditions of Christmas Card #2

A handmade Christmas card featuring the words 'Merry Christmas' in elegant script, surrounded by green and red glitter embellishments on a textured green background, with a photopolymer stamp set partially visible in the background.

Here is another card I made using products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite Collection. I used the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder on a piece of Basic White that I shaded using a technique involving Stampin’ Blends, my glass mat, and some alcohol!

Here are the measurements for the paper:

  • Old Olive card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side
  • Mossy Meadow: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Basic White: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Very Vanilla: scrap at least 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

After I blended my background on the Basic White panel, I embossed it with the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing folder and adhered it to my Mossy Meadow panel. That piece then went onto my card base. (I added some Cherry Cobbler ink mixed with Wink of Stella to some of the berries on the wreath).

I cut out a label using the largest label die from the Traditional Labels bundle and then stamped Merry Christmas in Cherry Cobbler. I finished the card off with some Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

I love the subtlety of the background – do you?

Here are the products that I used to make this card:
