Nests of Winter Thank You Card
Here is another card I made with the Nests of Winter Suite Collection.
Here are measurements of the paper that I used:
- Old Olive: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ on the long side
- Very Vanilla: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″ (one is for the inside writing panel); scrap for bird and sentiment
- Mossy Meadow: 4″ x 5 1/4″
I used two fun techniques. One I learned from Jessica Cruz de Urrutia. After cutting out the frame piece on this Mossy Meadow panel, you rotate the negative piece (the middle piece that pops out) and use either a blending brush or a dauber to add color around the edges of that piece. It essentially gives you another layer of branches. Isn’t it cool?
The next technique I used was the ol’ Versamark, sponge dauber, and pastels – click below for the fun!
I colored in the branch, feet, beak, and berries using Stampin’ Blends and then lifted some color from the berries for a super muted look. I stamped my sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and cut it out using a die from the Nested Essentials dies. I finished the card with some frayed twine. I love that look.
Here are the products I used (again I listed the suite and then the products individually as some items may be on backorder). Thanks so much for the support!
