Season of Elegance “Tile” Card

I shared a technique that I’ve wanted to try on Monday – you can see that card here. Today, I’m sharing another – the ‘Tile’ technique. (I’m pretty sure that is what it’s called.)

It consists of scored a piece of card stock and then stamping over those scores lines so it resembles a tiled image. So easy!! I used the tree images from the Peaceful Evergreen stamp set.

I took a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5” and then scored at 1-inch intervals (both horizontally and vertically). I then stamped my images in Shaded Spruce (stamping off here and there to give varied shades). I stamped some Balmy Blue ‘snow’ on top of that panel. I affixed this white panel to a piece of Crumb Cake cut at 4 1/8” x 5 1/8” and lay that on top of an Early Espresso card base (8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side).

I stamped my sentiment in Early Espresso on a scrap of Cherry Cobbler and cut that out using the coordinating die. I looped some Cherry Cobbler and Gold ribbon through that. I affixed that sentiment panel using Dimensionals and finished the card off with some Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots.

What other images do you think would look good using this technique?
