Simply Sparkling Birthday Card

I finally got to use this Online Exclusive set again – you know, the one I HAD TO HAVE – haha!

It’s called Simply Sparkling and I love it – I paired it with the Sunny Days Sale-A-Bration DSP for a bold fun card.

I started with a card base of Poppy Parade (4 ¼” x 11, scored at 5 ½”). I added a layer of Shaded Spruce (4” x 5 1/4”) on top of that. I then adhered 5 strips of that Sunny Days DSP on that Shaded Spruce layer (see my video for a tip on placement). The strips each measured 1 1/8” x 3 ¾”.

I stamped the can image using Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored it in using a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend – I like that look better than just stamping it on a piece of colored cardstock. I cut out the detail pieces  from silver foil using the coordinating dies and adhered those using liquid glue. I snipped the ‘bubble’ piece in half and adhered to the back of the can so that it would stick out farther.

Do you like it? I love that little can!! Here’s a video of my process:
