Last week, I asked you vote for your favorite new 2023-2025 InColor. Boho Blue took 60% of the votes (the winner). Poor Wild Wheat did not receive any votes (I’ll have to show that color some love).
I’ll be featuring Boho Blue as a main color all this week. Today’s card features the stamp set Honeybee Home. It is retiring, so if you like it – go check out the Last Chance area on Stampin’ Up!’s website.
The card front is a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the Boho Blue (which I then attached to a Thick Whisper White base – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″) I started this card by drawing a light circle in pencil (I traced a cut out from the new 2 3/8″ punch – but you could use the inside of a die or whatever circle piece you have). I then stamped the floral image around this circle to make a wreath.
I wanted to bring out the ‘boho’ in Boho Blue so I did a wash over using some Craft White refill ink and 90% alcohol. I dropped a few drops on one my acrylic blocks, added a few drops of alcohol, mixed, and then painted over the top of cardstock.
I stamped two bees out (I used my silicone craft mat to reverse the image on one) and cut them out. I stamped my sentiment in the middle of the wreath and placed my two bees on the card front using Dimensionals. I finished off the top of the wreath using a bow of Night of Navy.
I’ve added the products that I’ve used below (no links to the new InColor products – they’ll be available May 2, 2023 – If you need them right now, consider joining – the discount, among other things, is great):
