Sketch Challenge #17 with CardNMum

Let’s get this new year started off with some creativity! In my newsletter, I expressed a very much-needed ‘resolution’ of using my dang supplies. I have a lot and I am sure you do, as well. I’m hoping these sketches serve as inspiration for you to craft away with – I’m also hoping that I can create some Christmas cards with these sketches, too. If you don’t follow me on Facebook or Instagram – please do (I’ll put the links at the bottom of this post, as always). Check back there next week, and hopefully, I’ll have some Christmas cards designed that follow this sketch.

Here is one example I whipped up so far:

I used the Adoring Hearts stamp set from the Annual Catalog, white cardstock, Flirty Flamingo and Memento Ink, and a blender brush. Oh yes – and some of those cute little adhesive hearts from the Marbled Elegance Online Exclusive collection.

I used some scrap paper to block off sections of the card front to lay down some ink in progressively darker shades. It was a time-consuming but it looks nice. I’m going to try and use my brayer next time. If that isn’t doing it for me, maybe I’ll try cardstock or DSP – I might have a metric ton of that laying around (hee hee).

Hope you like the sketch – if you give it a try, please send it to me (jen@cardnmum.com) – I’d love to see what you make!
