Greenery Lane Faultline Card

The Greenery Lane Bundle came out in the new mini catalog and I just got around to using it. Can you believe it? (I know, you’ve never bought anything only to use it a long while later – lol)

Take a look at the set:

This bundle has some sentiments you can use over and over again. The stamp set’s leaf image are two-step stamps so coloring in those leaves can be done in a snap.

I paired this bundle up with a technique I wanted to try for a bit and thanks to a large swap group I’m in, I has a reason to finally do it. It the fault line technique and here is my card:

I started with a Petal Pink card base (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″). I then took a piece of Blackberry Bliss and two pieces of coordinating patterned paper (each measuring about 5″ x 4 1/4″). Then I simply tore down on an angle. Flipping one set of pieces over (vertically and then horizontally) makes the angles go in the opposite direction giving that “v” opening. I stamped some images on the Blackberry Bliss piece (I used the same ink color – I like the tone-on-tone look).

I placed the pieces down to make sure my tears laid and looked the way I wanted (I had to trim some of the bottoms to adjust the height to get the look I wanted). I adhered these pieces down and stamped my sentiment in Blackberry Bliss. And of course, I had to finish the card off with some of those great Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

Have you tried this type of card before? I suggest you do – it’s lots of fun! Give it a whirl and drop a pick in the comments. Let me know you are out there.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my projects. I’d love to see yours so feel free to drop them in the comments.
