Merry & Bright Fa La La Card
Another non-traditionally colored Christmas card – this one features Blueberry Bushel for a bold splash of color.
The card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5 1/2″). I used two panels of Basic Black (5 3/8″ x 2 7/8″ and 4 1/8″ x 2 3/8″) as bases for 2 pieces of Merry Bold and Bright DSP (5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ and 4″ x 2 1/4″). I stamped ‘Merry’ and ‘Bright’ on some scrap Basic White and fussy cut around the image. I glued them to some Basic Black scraps and fussy cut around that.
I cut 3 strings of lights from Basic Black and one from Basic White. I colored the Basic White in using Stampin’ Blends and Stampin’ Write markers.
I adhered the larger DSP/Basic Black panel down first and then a strip of black lights across the bottom and top borders (I trimmed edges). I cut my colored in lights in half and adhered diagonally to the smaller DSP/Basic Black panel. My last black strips of light went in the middle. I trimmed as needed. I adhered the sentiments with some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished the card off with some of those great Iridescent Discs.
Hope you like it!
