Kintsugi Inspiration

This week, I am using the Kintsugi Inspiration Suite Collection – and I hope it …inspires you! Kinstugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with gold. And this suite certainly captures all of those elements:

Flat lay of the Kintsugi Inspiration Suite Collection, featuring a photopolymer stamp set, patterned papers with vase designs, coordinating layers, an embossed card stock, and various metal die cuts, all showcasing elements inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi.

Here is the first card I made using this collection:

A handmade greeting card featuring a decorative vase, a motivational message reading 'There is beauty in your history', and an assortment of colorful geometric shapes in the background, alongside a set of embellishments.

Simply and beautiful – the paper makes such a beautiful background. Take a look at the patterns included in the 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Pack:

I used a card base of Cloud Cover ( 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″). I adhered a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the DSP to this card base using liquid glue. I stamped one of the vase images on a scrap of Basic White using Misty Moonlight ink and cut the image out using the coordinating die. I did the same with the sentiment but used a piece of Petal Pink cardstock.

I glued the sentiment down on the card front and adhered the vase using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used my Take Your Pick tool to place some of those gorgeous gold Flower Accents embellishments.

These are the products that I used for this card:
