Layered Thoughts Thinking of You Card

This week, I’ll be using one of the best combinations out there! The Layered Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack. I received these as a little giveaway at OnStage this past March.

And while I’ve used the stamp set a few times, I didn’t really explore that Memories & More Card Pack after we made the Make & Takes at convention. I am not sure why because they are perfect for all sorts of crafting needs.

Look at these fun colors:

These packs contain a variety of double-sided images in both 4″x 6″ and 3″ x 4″ sizes. They are great for scrapbooking, card-making, and almost any other type of paper crafting you’d want to do.

I started a bit simple with this card. The base is Berry Burst (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″). I stamped my sentiment on a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist (using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink) and fussy cut around the image.

For the background of the card front, I took a 3″ x 4″ sized card from the Memories & More pack and simply cut it into 1/2″ by 3″ pieces. I ended up with 8 total pieces.

I lined these up with about 1/8″ space in between them. I used my super handy Glass Mat to assist. After lining them up, I placed a piece of Masking Paper on top and then flipped those strips over. I applied some liquid glue to the backs of the strips, held my breath, and then placed them glue-side down on the card front. Phew! I finished the card off with the sentiment placed on top of the strips with Dimensionals.

How easy was that? Cardmaking does not have to be crazy-involved all the time. I mean I usually live on the crazy side of the crafting aisle (haha) but simple is great, too!

Here are the products that I used to make this cute little card:
