Full of Life Friend Card

Here is another card we made my “Choose Your Own Card-Venture” Class. We used the Full of Life Suite Collection. I love this product bundle because it is super bright and just plain fun!

My attendees were given a choice of card base color, DSP background patterns, and sentiments. The sample I made is at the top of the post and here the ones my attendees made (Aren’t they awesome!!!):

The card base is 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½. The DSP panel is cut to 4” x 5 ¼”. I gave each attendee a scrap of cardstock from which I cut out a heart shape. This scrap was used as a mask for embossing paste. It adds such a nice and different touch to a card. When the paste dried, we adhered the DSP piece to the card base.
The ‘friend’ delicate piece was cut from a piece of DSP and layered onto the larger ‘friend’ cut out which we used black cardstock for. We selected our sentiments and stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on various colored cutout made using the matching dies. These pieces were affixed to the card front and finished off with those great iridescent faceted gems.

Here is a quick video of how we made the card:
