Thoughtful Journey Window Card
This past weekend, I held my “Choose Your Own Card-Venture” class. I chose 5 bundles from Stampin’ Up! and gave my attendees different choices along the way. This card used the Thoughtful Journey Suite Collection:
This collection has beautiful double-sided DSP, gorgeous specialty paper and a great stamp/die combo.
I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″). I used the second largest Countryside Corners die to cut a window out of the front. I cut a piece of DSP (this was a choice my attendees could make) to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhered that to the inside. I cut a piece of DSP to 1″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered that to a piece of Basic White (4″ x 5 1/4″) and placed that on the back of the card as a writing panel.
My attendees then got to choose what color specialty paper to cut their sprigs out of – which were then glued to the left side of the opening on the front of the card. On a piece of Wild Wheat, a choice of any sentiment from the set was stamped and then cropped using a die from the Countryside Corners set. A few pearls finished it off. Here are the cards made by everyone:
I love how they all came out – everyone did such a great job! Here’s a video to show you the process:
