Bee Mine Cut Out Card

I know, I know – Enough with the bees! Well, I say, never!!

Last one (maybe) for a bit, I promise. Here’s a card we made at my Sale-A-Bration Stamp Camp. I let some of that pretty Bee Mine Designer Series Paper pop through cut outs I made with the Countryside Corners Dies (from the Annual Catalog).

My measurements are:

  • Sweet Sorbet card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4 on the long side
  • Daffodil Delight: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, scrap for bee
  • Basic White (inside panel): 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Bee Mine Designer Series Paper: 3 pieces cut at 1 7/8″ x 4 1/4″, scraps for hearts
  • Petal Pink: 1/2″ x 4″
  • Vellum: scraps for wings and antennae

After stamping some random honey combs shapes on the Daffodil Delight panel, I used the second smallest Country Corner die (not including the banner die) to cut out 3 windows. I adhered my DSP to the card base (overlapping a little bit). I mounted the Daffodil Delight piece to the card base using Dimensionals (Mini Dimensionals where the card base was too thin for a regular one).

I stamped my bee, wings, and antennae and punched out used the coordinating punch. Then I cut some hearts out using the punch, as well. I think it so cool that the punch can be used for ‘wings’ or ‘hearts’ – punch away, my friends!! I put everything together with glue dots and affixed to the card front using Dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment on the small piece of Petal Pink and notched out the edges for a banner. I put Dimensionals on either end and a glue dot in the middle to kind of give it that wavy look (you know, like a real banner – haha).

I used one of my Daffoldil Delight cut outs on the inside panel for my Valentine sentiments. You have to use those scraps, right?

Here’s a video showing I did everything:
