Sweet Talk Little Shaker Box

A shaker tag adorns the front of this sweet little Valentine’s box

One of the first suite collections in the new 2022 January to June mini catalog from Stampin’ Up! is the Sweet Talk Suite. It comes with a stamp set/coordinating dies, an embossing folder, rhinestones, ribbons, awesome Designer Series Paper, and….the sweet little boxes that I used to make this sample. All of these components are available separately, as well.

The Sweet Little Boxes come with adhesive strips already in place – just burnished the score marks, peel the backing off the adhesive strips, and assemble. The box went together very quickly.

To decorate, I ran a piece of So Saffron cardstock (2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″) through with the Gingham embossing folder. I adhered that to the front of the box with Tear & Tape.

I took a 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Highland Heather cardstock and randomly stamped (in Highland Heather) some of the lined images from the set of this collection. I then used the tag die from the die set in the collection and cut out a tag from this. I ran that tag through again with one of the heart dies from the set placed in the middle of the tag. I turned the tag over and glued a 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ piece of window sheet using a Fine Tip Glue Pen. I left that to dry on a silicone crafting mat.

I took a piece of Basic White and stamped my sentiment. I wanted to cut my sentiment out using the banner die that came with the set but it was too long to fit. I used a Stampin’ Write Marker (Polished Pink here but any coordinating color will do) to color in the ‘Happy Valentine’s” first. After I stamped, I cleaned the stamp well and dried. I then colored in the ‘Day’ and stamped below – it fit perfectly. I then stamped some background images in So Saffron.

To make the fun little hearts that were going to go inside of the shaker component, I used the small heart dies in the set to cut out 5 each in Real Red, Blushing Bride, and the Gold from the specialty paper.

When the glue was dried on my tag, I placed adhesive strips around the edges on the back of it:

I placed my little cut-out hearts where I wanted the tag to be on the front of the box. I looped a 4-inch piece of the Faux Linen Real Red ribbon through the tag’s hole and secured it together with a little glue dot. I then peeled the backing of the foam strips of the tag and place the tag over those little hearts.

I used a glue dot and Dimensions to adhere the sentiment banner to the bottom portion of the tag/box. I tied a bow using some more of the Real Red ribbon and adhered to the top of the tag using another glue dot. To add some sparkle, I used some of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The box is done – now what to put inside…..what would you put in there?
